Desiccated by Political Movement
Desiccated is a multidisciplinary performance merging contemporary dance, live vocal soundscape, sculptural installation, and video projection to examine our evolving relationship with fresh water. Against the backdrop of increasing scarcity and privatization, the work reflects on water as both a life source and a contested resource. Drawing movement inspiration from rivers, waves, and waterfalls, and incorporating recorded memories connected to water, the piece creates an immersive landscape of grief, responsibility, and collective imagination. Desiccated invites audiences to consider what has been lost, what remains at stake, and how water might continue to exist as a shared human right.
